Hosted by Brent Morgan our first Accountants Symposium for 2022 will cover three vital issues for the accounting industry
Hosted by Brent Morgan, our first Accountants’ Symposium for 2022 will cover three vital issues for the accounting industry – SBR's, the Accounting Future and World Security. This Symposium will run both as a seminar in Melbourne and as a Webinar for those working from home or outside of Melbourne.
Small Business Restructuring by Rodgers Reidy
Cassandra Risteska and Brent Morgan will talk you through the Small Business Restructuring (SBR) process, and how we work with you to extract your clients from crippling debt. SBR's were introduced last year to help small businesses navigate an expected tidal wave of insolvency post-COVID and revive them rather than let them drown in debt.
What lies ahead for Accountants
Brent Szalay is the managing director of Seiva Advisory and the President of the Victorian Divisional Council of CPA Australia. Brent will take a look into the future and outline some of the industry and general world trends that will impact accountants in the coming year.
World Security Update: What does the Russia-Ukraine War mean?
John Storey from Velocity Legal is the author of Big Wars, a book detailing military history and the future of warfare. He will give us an update on what is happening in the Russia-Ukraine War and what it means to global security... and how he moved from being a lawyer to an author.
This Seminar will be simulcast as a Webinar and will have a light lunch for those in attendance at our offices. If issues arise and we cannot host the Seminar, we will run this as a Webinar only and advise you as early as possible. The web link will be sent after registration.
In line with Victorian Government regulations, it is a requirement for all people attending this seminar to be double vaccinated.
This Seminar/Webinar carries 1 CPD point.
